Jordinvest Celebrates With Jordan Engineers Association its Golden Jubilee
Amman, July 2008 Jordan Investment Trust P.L.C. (Jordinvest), one of the leading providers of comprehensive financial and investment services locally and regionally, participated through its silver sponsorship in the Finance and Investment Forum and Exhibition organized by the Jordan Engineers Association (JEA) on the anniversary of its golden jubilee. The event was held at Le Meridien Hotel in Amman, between 21st-23rd of July 2008, and was inaugurated by the Minister of public works & housing His Excellency Engineer Sahl Al Majali.
More than 1000 high ranking ministers, officials and prominent figures from the public and private sectors attended the event, in addition to a number of consultants, engineers and pioneer corporations in the fields of financial investments, real estate and industrial investments.
Jordinvest's participation culminated in its booth at the exhibition in addition to a presentation focusing on the Company's recently launched, first “Shari'a” Compliant MENA fund. The presentation shed light on the fund’s methodology and subscription process, in addition to the services that Jordinvest provides in this sector, recognizing the vital role the sector has to offer supporting the progressive role of Islamic investments in Jordan, the region and around the world.
Commenting on Jordinvest sponsorship of the event, Mr. Ahmad Tantash, Jordinvest Chairman and CEO stated that Jordinvest is keen to interact with local institutions, particularly with the Jordan Engineers Association which, he noted, plays a significant role in supporting Jordanian citizens. He added "we realize the need to bring together the efforts of the companies and those of experts working in the public and private development sectors in order to enhance areas of cooperation towards supporting the economic development process so that Jordan may set an example in progress and advancement."
During the event, Jordan Engineers Association presented its activities, achievements and successes at both the local and regional levels. An ensuing discussion touched on the importance of the Association's role in accelerating the cycle of development especially with regards to supporting the economic activity, in addition to the vital role the Association plays in the community through accomplished goals and its future outlook.
