Jordan Investment Trust PLC (Jordinvest) Announces Half Year Financial Results for 2008 Jordinvest Achieves Mid Year Profits worth JD 3 Million with a growth of 87 % from 2007
Amman, Jordan (ِAugust 2008) - Jordan Investment Trust PLC (Jordinvest), one of the leading providers of comprehensive financial and investment services locally and regionally, announced its mid-year financial results, revealing that its net profit in the first half of 2008 have reached JD 3 million, compared with JD 1.6 million in the same period of last year; thus representing an 87% increase from the company’s profits in the first half of 2007. The overall value of Jordinvest’s assets rose by 9% reaching JD 69.3 million, compared with JD 63.8 million by the end of 2007. Similarly Jordinvest's revenues have increased by 60% to reach JD 5.7 million in the mid-year of 2008 in comparison with last year's results. Mr. Ahmad Tantash, Chairman and CEO of Jordinvest, commented on the results by saying:" Such perceivable progression is the outcome of Jordinvest's competent human capital, in addition to the trust our clients have granted us with, be they individual investors or institutions. It has motivated us to exert all efforts possible to achieve results surpassing all expectations."
