Jordinvest and imcan for Financial Services Launch Joint Initiative to Host Mawa'ed Al-Rahman in the Holy Month of Ramadan

Amman, Jordan (October 2005) – Jordan Investment Trust (Jordinvest) and imcan for Financial Services have joined forces to host Mawa'ed Al-Rahman (Charity Banquets ) throughout the Holy Month of Ramadan in a unique initiative aimed at bringing Jordanians closer together during the blessed month of fasting.

Mawa’ed Al-Rahman meals are being served daily to more than 300 people in the jointly setup. The “Jordinvest and imcan Ramadan tent,” is located in the Saha Al-Hashimiyah, downtown Amman.

Mr. Ahmad Tantash Vice Chairman/CEO of Jordinvest and Chairman of imcan, Stated "We at Jordinvest and imcan believe that business should be humanitarian in character with a genuine concern for the needs and interests of the people in our country. We have launched this initiative this year in an effort to restore the communal bonding among Jordanians and sharing the concerns with those who are in need and troubled.”

Tantash added that “During this Holy Month we are calling on private sector companies to complement our efforts and implement socially responsible programs not only in Ramadan but throughout the year. This can only be achieved through teamwork with the public sector and by sharing plans for sustainable development."
